Outsourcing of Ambulance services in BARC premises

AU/16/CONT/19/82                                             23/08/2019

To
The Controller
BARC.

Sub: Outsourcing of Ambulance services in BARC premises.

Sir,
We recall the discussion held in the conference room of Director’s Office on 17/07/2019 that the union had expressed its concern on rampant outsourcing in BARC services. In the past this Union was requested that the ambulance services are essential in our premises as mandatory requirement. The BARC has not acted on time to replace the old Ambulance and hence we were managing with a modified Ambassador car as Ambulance. Now it is noticed that the Ambulance services itself is handed over to outsourced agency.
This Union would like to convey our displeasure on the above decision and request you to review the decision of outsourcing of Ambulance services. It is further requesting you to take immediate effort to procure Departmental Ambulances to replace the outsourced one.
It will be highly appreciated if you could convey the decision arrived on the above subject to the undersigned.

Thanking you
Yours faithfully

solidarity to the striking Employees

To
All Members
AEW&S Union
BARC.

Dear comrades,
We salute all the 1,20,000 Defense employees of our country for their heroic initiative of One month Strike begins from 20th August 2019 opposing corporatization of Government Department. The present Govt. has taken a decision to corporatize the 218 years old Indian Ordnance factory under the Ordnance Factory Board. These factories being war reserves and providing the products to the Armed forces cannot function as commercially viable or profit making units.
The Govt. wants these 41 Indian Ordnances Factories to produce Rs. 30,000 Crores worth of goods by 2024. The Unions accepted the challenge, but they want the Govt. to assure them that the proposal to corporatize the Ordnance factories will be shelved. But the Govt. refused and hence the Employees Federations served the strike notice few weeks ago.
The employees including Industrial and non-industrial, junior officers and charge Hans are participating in this one month strike. The decision of employees to lose their one month salary for their existence deserves a Salute.
Atomic Energy Workers and Staff union once again appreciate the Defense Employees for their sense of duty and commitment to the call of Federation/Union.
We request all our Union members to extend your solidarity to the striking Employees.

Yours faithfully

Deputing BARC personnel for Election Duty

AU/16/CONT/19/79                                             21/08/2019

To
The Controller,
BARC
Ref: AU/16/CONT/19/65 dated 16/07/2019
Sub: Deputing BARC personnel for Election Duty reg.

Sir,
With reference to the above subject this Union had submitted a representation dated 16/07/2019 and unfortunately no constructive solution is arrived from the Department yet. Many employees are deprived of eligible compensation/compensatory off for their Election duty performance. We have already brought to your notice that DoPT has issued necessary orders in the above cited circumstances.
It is understood that concerned authority of Election Commission has approached BARC administration to relieve BARC personnel for Election Duty for the upcoming Vidhansabha election of Maharashtra State.
Further we would like to invite your attention that in the previous Loksabha election only Non-Gazetted staffs were deputed for election duty from BARC. It’s also evident that many illiterate and unwell staff members were compelled to perform duty which was beyond the scope of their capacity. In other Departments both Gazetted and Non-Gazetted staff were deputed for election duty. The BARC administration has not resolved the earlier request of staff members for granting   compensation/Compensatory off for their performed duty. Hence the employees are unenthusiastic to carry out Election duty any more.
In the light of above we request your good office to depute both Gazetted and Non-Gazetted staff for election duty in the forthcoming assembly election also approve the compensation/compensatory off for the previous performance.

Thanking you
Yours faithfully
